WHY CHOOSE A REAL TREE?

British-grown real Christmas trees give retailers and customers a renewable, recyclable seasonal product with a strong connection to traditional Christmas. Choosing trees grown closer to home can also help reduce transport distances compared with imported alternatives.

After Christmas, real trees can be chipped, composted or recycled through many local council schemes, helping customers reduce waste after the festive season.

Recycling Symbol

Reduce your footprint

Reduce your carbon footprint by purchasing British-grown trees, locally. It can take a single tree up to 10 years (that’s approximately 1 Christmas tree lifetime) to filter the amount of CO2 produced by a 90-minute car journey, so the closer the better!

Recyclable

Recycling your tree will reduce your carbon footprint by up to 80%.

After Christmas, a natural tree can be composted and used as mulch in your garden. Or alternatively, have your tree picked up by the council and turned into chipping. Visit www.recyclenow.com for more information.

Renewable

Every tree that we harvest has another planted in its place. We own over 1 million Christmas trees; that’s 350 acres of lungs, filtering up to 22 million kg of CO2 from the atmosphere every year.
