Cadeby Tree Trust Wins Christmas Tree Grower of the Year and Supplies No. 10 Christmas Tree

Cadeby Tree Trust is proud to have been named Champion Christmas Tree Grower of the Year 2025, earning the honour of supplying the Christmas tree for display outside 10 Downing Street. The award was presented through the annual British Christmas Tree Growers Association competition, which has been running since 1999 and is open to hundreds of Christmas tree growers across the UK.

The achievement has also gained national attention, with BBC coverage highlighting the pride and excitement behind providing one of the most recognisable Christmas trees in the country. For everyone at Cadeby Tree Trust, seeing one of our trees stand outside No. 10 is a very special moment and a reflection of the care, skill, and dedication that goes into every tree we grow.

This year’s Downing Street tree is a 19-foot Norway Spruce, selected for its traditional shape, rich green foliage, and classic festive fragrance. The tree was lit outside No. 10 Downing Street on Monday 1 December as part of the official Christmas celebrations.

As growers, this recognition means a great deal to us.
